Meet Beardsalls
Tell us a little about your business – what you do, where you’re based, and who you help.
Beardsalls is a family business that was established on the Island in 1901 and has supplied generations of islanders with stationery, art materials and greeting cards. After Covid we closed the retail business and concentrated on printing from our studio in Newport. We have always proactively supported local community projects and have a strong connection with the people of the Island.

Why did you choose to sponsor a month in our calendar?
The Red Squirrel Trust’s work is vital to maintaining one of the last remaining populations of reds in England. We are proud to work alongside them.

The island’s economy relies on conserving its natural resources. As a local business we understand the importance of playing our part.

What is your favourite thing about red squirrels or the Island’s natural environment, and why?
The Red Squirrel has become synonymous with the Isle of Wight. It helps represent our traditions and values and reinforces our unique place in Great Britain.
