Our impact
The Isle of Wight Red Squirrel Trust works tirelessly to educate the public about Red Squirrels.
Our aim is to support their conservation through increased understanding and awareness of their needs and habits.
Knowledge is power and we aim to put that power firmly in the hands of those who seek to ensure the future of these beautiful creatures.
The impact that we seek to achieve, alongside the Wight Squirrel Project is to disseminate the aforementioned education and improve the conservation of our indigenous squirrels through encouragement, conservation and provision of appropriate habitat and connecting corridors for them throughout the Isle of Wight.
Wight Squirrel Project is focused primarily on non invasive monitoring of red squirrels on the Isle of Wight, caring for sick and injured squirrels and engaging in scientific research.
