Landscape Therapy started tree felling in Howes Wood on Monday 21st of July.

The Lawson cypress is not at all favoured by wildlife and makes the wood very dark, so little ground flora survives either.

Once gone, the wood will come alive as the seed bank is still there.

The fellers are Peter and Andy from Landscape Therapy, Freshwater and they have done a great job opening up the dark compartment of Lawson cypress.

We should get hazel and woodland flowers coming through soon.
