We were so incredibly sad to learn of the passing of Iain Eaton at the beginning of 2023. The generosity that both Iain and his wife Nicky have shown both The Isle of Wight Red Squirrel Trust and The Wight Squirrel Project over the years has been enormous.
This year, even in the wake of Iain’s passing Nicky is once again opening the gates to their beautiful woodland at Knighton East Wood for us to host our annual Bluebell Day.
This will be a one day event this year and The Isle of Wight Red Squirrel Trust and The Wight Squirrel Project have invited Isle of Wight Hedgehogs to join us in welcoming visitors on the day.
This is a fabulous opportunity to visit this private woodland in all of it’s spring time glory when the bluebells are in full bloom.
Head to Knighton East Wood on Sunday 30th April between 10.30am-3.30pm to see bluebells, red squirrels, hedgehogs, stroll through the woodland, enjoy the stalls and indulge in some delicious refreshments.
Entry is £3 per adult (children free) with all proceeds to Isle of Wight Red Squirrel Trust.
Dogs on a lead welcome. Park on Brading Downs Road to enter the woods by foot.
